They say Troy began dreaming about fishing in the womb and never stopped. He never got used to staying out of water. His illustrious career in fishing was sparked by some early successes in youth summer camp as he caught the biggest Bass in YMCA Camp Miller's history. His large catch netted him the cover of the camp promotional brochure and a never ending wheel of fish stories.
He won his first Tournament in 2003. Since then, he has placed in the top 20 in repeated competitions on Island Lake, St. Louis River, Lake Mill Lacs and many other fisheries.
In 2005 Troy joined the FLW Walleye tour and currently ranks 35th overall in the FLW Walleye League and among the top 200 Walleye fisher-persons in the one of the most respected walleye fishing circuits, the FLW Walleye Tour.
In 2006 Troy grabbed an outstanding second place finish at Mille Lacs Lake and went on to compete in the Walleye League Finals for the second year in a row. He also parlayed his extensive Walleye League experience into an impressive first time performance in the Walleye Tour. Keeping pace with, and beating some of the Tours long-standing fishing professionals.
By day Troy works as a Psychotherapist for Arrowhead Psychological Clinic, P.A. in Duluth, MN. By every other time he can manage without getting himself divorced he's on the water competing in tournaments or just having a good time enjoying the great waters of the Midwest.
Troy lives in Duluth, Minnesota with his wife and two children: a ten year-old son and five year-old daughter.
