Tips

There is still great late season ice fishing action, get out and get in on the fun.

The walleyes are still biting at Lake of the Woods and the crappies and panfish are hitting on all the inland lakes, don't forget - the big fish do a lot of eating this time of year and are more active now  than in many times of the year.

Fish safe - check your ice thickness. Remember it melts from the bottom up as well.

Successful Tactics : One rod rigged with a slip Bobber with plain or colored #6 or #4 hooks and few slit shot, second rod used to attract the fish in with a sweedish pimple or a jigging spoon like my favorite
Forage Minnow® Jig'n Spoon or the rattling Buckshot Forage minnow.

Tech Tips: Use an underwater camera and see the fish bite, the most important piece of equipment in ice fishing is a good flasher or graph like my favorite a "Vexilar" this allows you to not only see the depth but to see the action of your lure and see the fish hit your lure. Often this allows one to see fish looking at your bait so you can modify your jigging action to entice strikes.
